Vaccines

Protect your pet from preventable diseases with safe, effective vaccinations. Our veterinary team provides personalized vaccine recommendations for dogs and cats based on their age, lifestyle, and health needs. Keep your furry family member healthy with routine vaccinations and wellness visits.

Parasite Control

Puppies and kittens commonly carry intestinal parasites, so our young patients are often sent home with a deworming medication to help clear common intestinal worms. Because intestinal parasites, including Giardia, are prevalent in our area, we recommend a fecal parasite screening at the end of your puppy’s deworming series and annually thereafter. Some parasites, including Giardia, can also be transmitted to people.

If your pet hunts or catches mice, eats raw meat, or is fed a raw diet, please let us know. These activities can increase exposure to certain parasites, and we may recommend additional testing or a different deworming protocol based on your pet’s risk.

We also offer heartworm testing and monthly preventative medications, along with flea and tick prevention, to help protect your pet from harmful parasites year-round.

Spay & Neuter

Spay & Neuter procedures are an important part of our non-breeding pets well care. The timing of these procedures is greatly influenced by you as the client and your individual animal. We are happy to work with you to help find the optimal timing for these procedures.

Routine Blood Monitoring

We offer both in house and send out blood testing to monitor organ function and complete blood counts. At times this provides a baseline normal for our patients, but also helps us detect abnormalities early in the course of disease. It is also a reliable way for us to track impact of long term medications on the body.

Nutrition

We happily discuss individual nutritional needs with our clients. We can help you with everything from selection of well care diets to commercial prescription diets to home cooked diets for medical needs. We carry or can order prescription formulations from Purina Veterinary Diets, Hills Prescription Diet, and Royal Canin Prescription Diet for multiple conditions including; dental care, joint care, diabetes, kidney disease, liver disease, GI disease, allergy/atopy, urinary care, cognitive dysfunction, weight management, critical care and recovery, and more.  We are at this time advising against all grain free diets with the discovery of nutritionally mediated, dilated cardiomyopathy.

Behavior

Behavior management encompasses everything from young dog socialization with people and animals to problem mitigation. We can help you develop a behavior modification plan that may include training, socialization, or medication, set you up individual behavior management  training, or direct you towards training courses.
